While my leg is in the final phase of healing from its previous injury, I took the car up Montana Mountain. It's another forest service road, used for fighting brush fires out here, but in the meantime they allow public, motorvehicle travel on it. So I took the Saturn out on it :)

What a freakin road! The first mile wasn't too bad, bit rocky, needed some creative driving, it was what I expected. Then it started crossing the streambed over and over, and each time the road is littered with boulders, washedout areas, and ruts that could get my wheel stuck. After that, short/tight hairpin turns going uphill at 45 degrees, and in a few cases DOWN so I couldn't see where the car was going for the first few seconds after cresting the hill.

As normal... after I get to the top of the mountain, I discover a much better road that's just packed dirt, concrete bridges, and in some areas, cheap asphalt. Wonderful. The last 2 miles, they said "fuck this, we don't need a road" and I got to drive down a sandy streambed.

I got some more HDR Images done. Still tinkering with how much I can edit them (most programs aren't as advanced yet).
