Rampart Ridge Rd, Woodland Park, CO This was a scenic route I found online that went through a US Forest Service area. After the experiances with them back in AZ, I knew I wasn't going to be dissapointed, and I wasn't. They have a 13-billion gallon reservoir, a public shooting range run on the "honor system", and numerous overlooks... guardrails NOT included. While they did charge admission for the reservoir, I felt it was worth it due to the lack of people and stupendious scenery. Looked almost EXACTLY like NY. There's a lot of pictures of nearby Pikes Peak, which I've put on it's own page. |
