Mount Colden, Newcomb NY
8/20/05

After doing some extra hours at work, they decided to give me some well-deserved time off. I figured since I have 3-4 days in a row off and the weather looked OK, I was going to try and hit Mt. Colden again and get to the top once and for all. To make the trip more interesting, I was also going to take the legendary Trap Dyke, which is almost a direct line up the slope, requiring constant climbing over boulders and trees, then on and up the site of a former landslide (AKA: Bare rock with no plants to use as a foothold).

Not exactly wise to do by myself... but I have no qualms about doing it again :D
