Macomb Mountain,
Newcomb NY
4/29/2006

Macomb is the closest and easiest trial of the Dix Range to reach, sitting just about 4 miles from the trailhead. It requires some off-trial hiking (most of the way) and steady nerves while climbing up the site of a former landslide. From this peak though, the rest of the range can be done it a day.

I made it up without a problem, but there was so much snow on the north side, Nature didn't let me continue. I'll go back later this year and finish the work I started...
