This peak was part of a 2 day excursion I did over the Columbus Day weekend. It was done with Panther and Couchsachraga on the same day, after camping at the Bradley Pond lean-to the previous night.
Santanoni wasn't as troublesome as the picture makes it look, but it did have multiple false summits and a rocky trail. After doing Couchsachraga and Panther my knees were NOT in a forgiving mood... but if I didn't do it now, I'd have to come back thorugh this dismal wilderness and try then. Given the option of suffering more now, or suffering later, I chose the first. It takes me 2-3 days to recover from each trip, so I might as well take it all in now and just relax for another day over the holiday weekend.
