Another 2 day excursion, more out of nessecity then recreation. It was wither drive up, sleep over and drive back the next day, or try to do it all in a day (with a 5hr drive each way). I coverted the car into a camper and took off the day before the hike.
I wasn't expecting an easy hike, but the weather was perfect, the company on the trail was good, and despite the elevation change, the distance of the trail wasn't overwhelming.
For the first half of the trail, for every 5 feet you went forward, you had to go up one foot of elevation. The second half of the trail made it a 1:1 ratio of distance/elevation. Worth every step to the summit... where those too lazy to hike can drive, and those too lazy to drive can simply get on a train to haul their ass to the top.
