10.28.09
Nothing good to write about. Looking at ANOTHER semester at SUNYIT, because my degree requires I learn about an operating system from 1955. I spent the summer out west, so now instead of going west in the spring, I have to be here. Hopefully more time for hiking.
7.20.09
I'm back in NYS, so updates will again be few and far between. The BTC camping trip pictures and movies are up and working, meanwhile I'll be recovering from the timezone change and preparing for my last semester at SUNYIT.
6.9.09
Expect some broken movie links around the site. I've been converting everything to flash for faster viewing, and more compatibility. The movies from my hiking are all converted, but the older gallieries used a different system for archiving that's not friendly to embded flash videos. I'll update them as time allows.
5.26.09
Looks like I'm without stable work this summer; the company in Alaska is being taken down by guys in the inside over pay issues [and it'd be unprofessional to spill it all here]. So I'm spending the summer in Arizona with my sister helping her out and enjoying the terrain. I'll have ample oppertunities to do some hiking and whatnot, not to mention the cross-country travel.
3.14.09
Now that we're all back from Rhode Island, pictures from Digital Overload have been posted, as well as flash video. There is a strong (+85%) chance I'll be going long-distance for work this summer, and thus this site will fall into a state of inactivity. After I return, I'll have scores of stuff to upload... enough to keep myself, and visitors occupied for a long, long time.
1.12.09
Added some pictures from my experiance with snowshoes, more coming after the holiday weekend. Undertaking a massive upgrade of the image galleries. Image galleries will now scale to your browser's size, instead of being locked into 1024x768 size. This also means the pictures are MUCH larger; expect longer image load times as most pictures are 3Mb each.
1.3.09
Finally bought a pair of snowshoes, so I'll be venturing north more often to use them this season. I was right earlier about the amount of snow; without the shoes I simply sink in past my knees.
10.2.08
Winter hit the Adirondacks (and Utica) early this year. Trails are under 18 inches of snow already, so no more major hiking trips this year. Instead, I've taken a liking to spelunking and am acquiring locations and contacts. Underground in the winter seems like a better place to be then the mountains.
9.7.2008
Nature's attempt to keep me away from the Adirondacks proved to be a costly failure. Thanks to global warming, the weather up north has been incredibly nice for this time of year. For two weeks after her attack on my plans, a high pressure system sat over the area and pumped out nothing but clear skies and warm temperatures. My conquest of Allen Mountain completed, Nature is going back into the area tonight to slam down a major storm.
7.19.2008
The War on Nature continues. After promising for a week how today was going to be dry, sunny and beautiful, Nature suddenly dropped 7 inches of water all over the Adirondacks 5 hours before I planned on starting my hike. Hence my hiking plans for the summer are done as I move back to Utica soon, and it will take at least a week of dry weather for all that water to move downstream.
6.21.08
Pictures from Putnam Pond uploaded. This will probably be the last major update until the school semester starts up. Enjoy it.
6.18.08
Site updated with Google apps, and almost all pages are now on some sort of template that incorporate CSS. The BTC page has been updated and stylized in a way I feel is befitting to the group, both offering information and accessibility. My mountain climbing pages have all been added to a common template and should offer easier navigation between them.
6.2.08
Site has been moved to a new host, 500Gb space, 5Tb bandwidth. For $10 a month, with tons of bells and whistles, I'm set for a long time. I've been going around in the backround cleaning up some pages, adding some templates, and making the site navigation more practical, and more appeasing.
5.27.08
After much discussion between myself and visitors, it was decided to update the look, feel, and functionality of my website. Rather then trying to keep a site going by modifying an old java menu, a whole new design was recommended. Hopefully, this update will go smoothly, and the only interruption will be your brain adjusting to a more modern site.
5.24.08
Pictures from 2008 Memorial Day BBQ are online. We've made plans for camping, a LAN, and a roadtrip, so the summer should yeild some nice updates. Also, come June/July, this site may experiance some period of downtime as I change providers. My current host is closing up shopto pursue other projects. Sucks too, $2 a month for 10Gb of space and 250Gb of bandwidth kicked ass.
3.15.08
Doing basic upgrades to site menu system. As the site becomes more itemized, the old menu system became overloaded and even confusing. Now the menu will point to pages related to the topic, where topics can be differentiated from there.
2.2.08
No real news. School is my priority now. This site is evolving into a picture repository rather then a feed on what's going on in my life.
7.3.07
RoadRunner is going to drag its feet fixing the DNS problem between my server
and my home, so I found a few solutions. I tested them both and they work.
6.25.07
Adding more pages and pictures that I dug up from the archives of my HD. Finishing
work on the BTC holy manuscript. Discovered JAVA and webroute problems.
6.10.07
Menu system remodeled, buffer on main page removed after 2 years ot sitting there
being an ass..
6.5.07
Now that I have broadband, it won't be so time-consuming to work on this site.
5.26.07
Pictures from Vals BBQ will be up shortly. Also, this site will be moving to
a new domain by early June, and I'll be on broadband. Expect BIG changes
when I get time off from work.
5.8.07
Schools over for the spring. 56k @ home, so no major updates. Added hiking
photos from Saddleback Mtn. Val's BBQ in 3 weeks, more then.
4.13.07
Marks pictures from DO2k7 are uploaded (page 2)
3.25.07
Everything we did to Waz's
Car and the
Rochester Subway is online
3.12.07
Digital Overload pictures are up, as
well as the NOC movie (140Mb). Only a few tweaks coming up, nothing major on
the horizon.
3.3.07
Spring Break (which means more updates) has started. Mainly getting ready for
Digital Overload in 6 days.
2.19.07
Dave's Pre-CAD Lan complete. All systems up and running with nominal error
rates. Currently working on Projector
project.
2.10.07
The only thing going on is planning for the Digital Overload. Legal
notice put up due to sudden interest in my hiking photos; I think it's pretty
generous.
12.31.06
New journal system uploaded and hyperlinked. Much easier to load, and a
better interface. Will post New Years Party pics ASAP.
12.17.06
X-mas 2006 Party uploaded. Good pictures and movies.
12.06.06
I went around the site fixing more little issues (image links, rollovers, java
appelts, etc). I also figured out the new setup I'm gonna use in Janurary for
my blog. Simpler, but more efficent.
11.24.06
Pics from the PC Buffet are up (movies as well). If anyone sees any broken links,
lemme know. Everytime I update a few more find their way here.
10.4.06
46.htm updated. Looks much better then that Frontpage template I made a few
years back. It has it's place.... just not on my site.
9.28.06
I'm gonna update my "46.htm" page to resemble the layout of my
LAN page, clean up the Java on the overhead menu on this page, and maybe upload
some more pictures to my log. I removed all the dead hyperlinks.... finally
9.9.06
Forgot to update this news feed thingy. Whoops, my bad. I'm going to incorperate
more high-bandwidth material into the site sometime this semester.
6.7.06
Updated a bunch of pages, worked on the menu's trying to cut them down among
other things (margins, borders, hyperlinks, etc). Standardized all the pages,
and removed the last of the Frontpage coding. Glad that dark age is finally
over.
5.28.06
Uploaded more image galleries (Including the Graduation Party from the 27th)
Have fun.
4.20.06
No more big updates in the foreseeable future. I'm putting my efforts into organizing
the HVCC LAN for June. I'll update when I feel like it
4.14.06
It has finally happened! The end of an era. Site is fully updated (till
Saturday) with new code that is designed to be FireFox friendly. Fuck Frontpage,
this is a grown-up site now
4.10.06
Updated my mountain page. Threw in an image backround (that works in FF and
IE). The site is optimized for 1024x768 resoultion. If you can't seethe site
because your running too large, change the window size.
4.9.06
Mmm, that Java editor is a life-saver. Single-handedly replaced Frontpage for
me. I'll be upgrading the rest of my images into the same format soon.
4.7.06
Fucking around with some new HTML editors that are looking very impressive.
Java-based gallery, and even a guestbook are on their way within a week :D
3.26.06
Added links, playing with Dreamweaver. Looking for more content, and possibly
a way to update the rest of my site without destroying it
3.24.06
First Upload of this home page, more updates to come
3.23.06
Digging up old templates trying to give my site a non-Frontpage look. This looks
pretty bitchin' so I'm gonna fly with it
